Well, what do you know. I'm done with Day 3. I honestly didn't think I'd make it even this far. But I did... and I'm starting to think I can actually do this. Managed to get through all 6 glasses of "lemonade" and be at work like normal.
Today I've probably been the hungriest. My stomach has been growling fairly often today. But I haven't had any real hunger pains. Just hungry and longing for a variety of foods I love... turkey and mashed potatoes, salami and cheese sandwich on a hoagie roll, skirt steak, real sushi, McDonald's fries. You get the idea. :)
I'm gonna try to get up a little early tomorrow and do the salt water again. Not much happened today. I've been waking up at 6am for the last 9 months. Why not just get up, drink the salt water and make an bigger, positive impact on my health?
At this point I think the hardest part will be slowly getting my stomach used to "real" food again over the 3-4 days after I'm actually done. I've read a forum post of a woman who got to Day 8, went to a party that night and snacked the night away. She's apparently had a bad stomach ache for the last three days because of it. Ouch. I'll get through this but afterward is going to be tough considering that the first day of my vacation is only the second day after I'm done (orange juice and simple veggie soup only).
Oh, and the skunk smell in my car is basically gone. Woot!
